In this episode our reporter David Greenberg explores JSwipe, a dating app commonly known as “Tinder for Jews.” As a young Jewish man in his mid-twenties, David captures the realities of finding love in a dating pool of digitally-influenced young, Jewish Canadians. In David’s search for his perfect Jewish match, he opens his JSwipe profile to unexpected critics. Join David as he gets advice on how to improve his JSwipe profile from his mother, who had a lot to say. Later on, David tracks down a former JSwipe date who gives him pointers on how to attract “a nice Jewish girl.” Listen as David embraces the inherent awkwardness of analyzing one’s own dating profile. Learn with him as he navigates between his identities as a modern millennial journalist and as a secular Jewish man. In David’s candid conversations with his subjects he learns how a culture rooted in tradition, shows love.
