Even as he has recently decided to switch out of the profession of classical music, trumpeter Ujjawal Madan still practices for two to three hours every day, as he has been doing for the last six years. After recently graduating from the acclaimed classical music post-secondary institution, the Glenn Gould School, Ujjawal made the surprising decision to potentially pursue a completely different career. But only six years ago, he was still on the path of becoming a professional orchestral musician. As he continues to contemplate his future, this feature chronicles his journey from aspiring trumpet player to fundraising volunteer and beyond.
